Soccer

It's just me, the defender and the ball. I fake out the defender and then another. I am unstoppable. Now, with only the goalie left, I rush towards the goal with the ball at lightning speed. I then shoot the ball and it goes straight between the legs of the goalie. GOAL! The whole stadium is roaring. My team mates come and pat me on the back. Time to get back into position and do it all over again.

Soccer is my favorite sport out of the many I play. I have played soccer since I was 10 years old. When I first wanted to play soccer I didn't know anything about the sport. The first time I made a goal it felt good. I wanted to make more goals  to help out my team. That is why I went on to play four years after. Each year I got better and better until I was one of the best players on the team. It feels good to be the best. It means that you can help the people that aren't as good as you to be better. I like the feeling of being accomplished.

The second reason is because of being on a team. Being on a team means that you are always being supported. You can also ask for help instead of having to do everything yourself. If you try to do everything yourself you won't get very far. You won't get anything done either. Being on a team means you can count on your team mates for back up. When you score a goal you are patted on the back and told that you did a good job. It makes you feel good. Also, being on a team builds people skills. At first when you get to the first practice, you don't know anyone. Neither does anyone else. It is a good opportunity to make friends.

My biggest passion is soccer because of how it is my favorite sport and being on a team.

Emojis

🏃One time, a normal man living his normal life, was running and he was struck by lightning out of nowhere 5 times. Each time he got a different superpower. The first time he got super-strength. The second time he got super-speed. The third time he got eye-lasers. The fourth time he got flying powers. The 5th and last time he got invincibility. Now he is the protector of the city but no-one knows who he is.

Veterans Day

The veterans did a lot for our country than just fighting for our freedom. They fought in the wars for us, not just our freedom. Their sense of duty compelled them to fight for the safety of their families and friends. Just stopping and thinking about how much they gave for us is a way to honor our veterans.

Flag, Memorial, Honor, American In WWII, the Allied troops of 150,000 men stormed the beaches of Normandy to get an advantage over the Germans and their allies. It was a great turning point for the war in Europe. Many men died on that day. The German forces were waiting for our forces. It was a massacre. Most of the men did in the first 3 seconds of the invasion. Many more died in the next minute. But we held our ground and came out victorious. Many of those men died for their families and their country. They died in fear of their country and its inhabitants being harmed at the hands of the Nazi Germans.

Veteran, Flag, Child, Hand, AmericanWhen the Korean War started, the United States rushed to the aid of South Korea when North Korea invaded the country. We joined the war because of our sense of duty. We fought for what we knew was right.

We joined the Vietnam War when two of our destroyers stationed in Gulf of Tonkin radioed in that they had just been fired upon by North Vietnamese forces. We joined the war for the purpose protecting our country and the people living within it. During the Vietnam war, 58,220 American men died in combat and after the war; many more died of diseases that they contracted during the war in the Vietnamese forests. They died to protect us and the future generations.

Copyright

5 options for finding images Kathleen Morris

I learned about copyright in school. The things that surprised me about copyright is that most images are copyrighted. I am not going to use images from google for my blog. If you get caught by the person who took or made that picture, you could be sued. I will only use the websites on the Student blogging challenges website.

Memes

We have been working with run-on sentences, and different ways to avoid writing them. Our teacher asked us to create three different memes: each containing a sentence that shows a different way to avoid run-ons. Each meme's sentence must connect to the meme.

Photos

These are pictures I took on my camera for the challenge this week. They may be a bit hard to see but if you magnify them you might be able to see.
I mostly took this picture because it is cool. I like to take pictures of sunsets. This is one of the most unique sunsets that I have taken a picture of
.
I took this picture because of the lights at the edge of town. I like how they look like stars that are on the ground. This is one of my most favorite picture of sunsets that I have taken.

I picked this picture because we have a lot of farms near where I live. This family's farm that I took a picture of is a very prominent in the town I live in. Many other farms are around where I live.

Hi, my name is Cameron. I am 13 and in 8th grade. I was born in Sterling, IL and at the time, my mother and father were living in Rockfalls. At about four years of age, my family and I moved to Milledgeville, IL to go to the school district my Mother is now working at I live with my brother, my Mother and my Father. The only pet I have is a dog named Bucky. He is not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but he always comes to my rescue and protects me and the rest of my family.

I am the normal kid that has goodish grades and goes to summer camp every year. I play sports like lots of other kids, but I am not the meat head type like most of the other athletic kids. Most of the time I am just the nerd playing Magic the gathering (a card game) in the corner or answering most of the math questions correctly. I am not the typical nerd; an athletic nerd. I am proud of not fitting the typical stereotype.

Now I will answer some questions I was asked by a fellow classmate for an assignment. The questions vary from “are you a people person,” to “what is your favorite book?” The first question is: When you are 80 years old, what will matter to you the most. The thing that will matter to me the most is books. I say that because in the future, when it is 2086 there will be a-lot more technology then now and most people won’t even read books anymore.

The next question is if you are a people person? I am a people person and I am not. I am by liking to be around people, and I can’t be alone for long periods of time. I am not a people person because I say things, not thinking that the thing I said was offensive, and people take it as an offense and get really mad. The third question is what your dream vacation is. My dream vacation is to go to the middle of the forest and live in a tree house.

To add all this up, I am an athletic nerd that hasn’t had a very eventful life. If this has been boring to you, I am sorry for wasting your time. Good day  Madam/Sir.
